Hannah Gieseke
With over a decade of experience nurturing young musicians, Hannah is a dedicated educator whose life has been shaped by the joy of music. She holds a Bachelor's in Music Education degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia and pursued advanced studies with a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Buffalo. Since 2011, she has been teaching instrumental music in both public schools and private settings, sharing her love for woodwinds and more.
Hannah currently serves as an Elementary Band Director for Penfield Schools, where she guides budding musicians through their first adventures in ensemble playing. Beyond the classroom, she is a proud co-founder and faculty member of the Hochstein School's Bagpipe Program and the former Director of the Arts in Action Summer Camp. While the clarinet is her primary instrument, she is equally at home teaching flute, saxophone, and bagpipes.
Growing up in Lewiston, NY, Hannah was surrounded by music, inspired by her father's guitar and her sister's violin. During college, her family performed together as the Lochside Celtic Band, merging their talents in lively folk tunes. When she's not teaching or performing, she can be found savoring simple joys with her greatest duet partners: her husband and their young son. She believes music is a lifelong adventure—one that builds confidence, creativity, and connection, and she strives to make the same possibilities for her students.
