Since 1995, the Kanack School has been so fortunate to foster a complete community—students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends—which consistently returns and continues to give back. Alumni serve on the Board of Directors; former students bring their children to music class; parents return later to bring grandchildren to lessons; community members and friends support School projects and events with volunteerism and expertise; friends of the School have been so generous as to support our scholarship funds and Harmony Capital Campaign. This support helps deserving students to attend and thrive at the Kanack School. It helps expand the School’s reach and capacity with new facilities which welcome new parts of our greater community. It helps ensure that the Kanack School expands upon its innovation in music education and continues to provide lasting experiences and growth to its remarkable young students.

Jean Jesserer proudly shares that she sent her two youngest children to Kanack after finding an ad in the penny saver one day in 2003. Now that she has grandchildren, she brings them to their lessons every week and has even decided to pick up the violin for herself. (Her teacher reports that she is doing very well.)
